As we celebrate acupuncture awareness week, i can’t help but offer a discount from my side as well.
This year I seem more passionate than ever about Traditional Chinese Medicine, providing Acupuncture and Tui na massage alongside the correct nutrition (working with nature, seasons and the individual needs) and lifestyle.
looking back over the years, not only am I coming up to my 14th year of practicing Acupuncture in Finchley, Whetstone, Hendon and various other parts of North London, I now find myself working with a wide range of conditions, some which have no answers from GP’s or consultants and hence try to get help elsewhere. They seem to be the chronic ongoing conditions.
I love my job! The job Satisfaction is tremendous!
Acupuncture is well known as a treatment for pain relief, headaches, backaches, migraines, osteoarthritis, neurological conditions and the list can go on a bit!
The Awareness of Acupuncture is indeed important as it also aids with various other Systems of the body other than just Musculo-skeletal system.
Acupuncture is more recently known to help ladies achieve hormonal balance, assist Fertility, help morning sickness when pregnant and other pregnancy related conditions. Acupuncture is also tremendously useful in treatment of post natal depression and stress relief from being a new mother.
That leads me to stress relief, where Acupuncture is known to help with Stress related symptoms and I see many teachers, solicitors, nurses and even not to mention bankers who find the Art of Chinese medicine helps them to unwind and relax, hence help in day to day work related performance and life in general.
Acupuncture is known to help with sporting injuries, and I see marathon runners to need help with wellbeing and performance levels to literally get through the marathon! As one patient, a 47 year old teacher has said to me: “I need my monthly fix of Acupuncture, it keeps me going!”.
Needles can help a wide range of conditions, but I do aim to educate and help with prevention of illness where applicable. This is where spreading the word regarding health and wellbeing is key in my practice.
I have a patient with asthma who comes to me from Spain. He was recommended by another patient and I said I would try providing he adheres to changes in diet and lifestyle.
It has been 2 years now, and he hardly uses his inhalers, has taken antibiotics only a couple of times as opposed to every month, and his allergy to hay fever is much reduced.
He is much healthier and is more comfortable with life and enjoys his work more. The main change is he can now breathe!
A quote I love is “if You have health, you have everything”.
Hope this blog has highlighted what the Acupuncture can help with, and if you have any questions please do email or give me a call.
Although I am busy, I would like to offer a discount to those who have never tried Acupuncture and live around the North Finchley, East or West Finchley area, to give it a go. You may be surprised!
Below is a video of Rebecca Addington having Acupuncture. Enjoy!
