Are you pregnant or post natal? Our pregnancy and post natal massage is all you need!
If yes to either, you would know the impact on your body. By and large it is one of the most natural but difficult and can be an exhausting journey into motherhood. Not only on the body but the emotions play a huge part as well.
I was on a pregnancy and post natal massage course over the weekend with Jenny Burrell and Danielle White (attached Web details at the end of this blog), both specialising in assisting pregnant and new mums to ladies through the natural means of massage, touch and care.
It is an invaluable service to offer and I am so privileged to have gained even more techniques and increased my tool box of what I can offer with this course.
Over the last 13 years, I have treated ladies in all stages of pregnancy, with acupuncture and/or gentle general massage, but was looking for a deeper understanding from the experts in this field and am pleased and reassured to know other techniques.
During the pregnancy and post natal period, the tissues need help recovering from all the bodily changes; and what a difference body work massage can make. It revitalises and reconnects the body providing it with the necessary release, relaxation and rejuvenation the body may need. It then helps the mum to continue with life’s daily routine more comfortably. What a pleasure to provide such a service!
I recall a 31 year old lady who came to me at 36 weeks of her third pregnancy. She complained of extreme backache during her second delivery and was fearful of the forthcoming birth of her third child. Her treatment plan included four weekly sessions of acupuncture and massage. I went on holiday after that and on my return had a lovely text message from her:
“Dear Monica, I delivered a beautiful baby boy yesterday and am so pleased to say I had no back pain! Thank you so much and hope many more ladies seek help with natural treatments like what you offer.”
As mentioned on the course, and I have also seen it in my practice, it is not so well known for new mums to take care of themselves as much as they should.
Not many of them take care of their body, C-section scars or aches and pains they may have from lifting and carrying the baby. The mum may need a few sessions and to help with this, I am offering a package, where when you book for 6 sessions you pay for just 5.
So if you are in the North London, Finchley, Whetstone or Hendon area and would like a session or more, it will be a pleasure to see you.
