Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage in Private Clinic in North Finchley

Therapeutic massage helps the body achieve health and vitality by strengthening the body’s resistance to disease and improves circulation, muscular relaxation, and joint flexibility. Typically, therapeutic massage uses a range of stroking, kneading, pressure, and flowing movements over the body to treat and prevent complaints, or for deep relaxation.

Although any professional massage is technically therapeutic, the phrase is also sometimes used to indicate that sometimes the massage will be a little more intense than a pure relaxation massage – providing a form of therapy for long-term or chronic issues. This depends on the type of treatment that is best for you and your body.

My training in a variety of different massage types and techniques means that I can tailor my treatments to your specific needs and make them work for you. My experience allows me to advise and guide you when it comes to choosing the best approach. My approach won’t only vary from person to person, but also from day to day, as your needs change and develop.

What Should I Expect?

Your first treatment will start with a consultation and medical history so that I can identify the techniques that will suit your needs. Different techniques will be used for relaxation, pain relief, or mobility, for example. Therapeutic massage is also used to relieve knots in the muscles – known as adhesions – and deeper strokes with more pressure would be used.
