An Overview Of Finchley Acupuncture, Massage Techniques &
Holistic Healing at North London Acupuncture & Massage

Rooted in ancient Chinese medicine, acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of fine needles at specific points along the body’s meridians. This time-tested practice is used for both therapeutic treatment and preventative care. While often sought for pain relief and discomfort management, acupuncture’s benefits extend to a wide array of conditions. It can effectively address issues like dental pain, nausea and vomiting, tension headaches, and provide temporary relief from osteoarthritis knee pain.  Acupuncture is a remarkably safe treatment modality, with minimal side effects and complications.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

While it has a clinical-sounding name, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle and specialized massage technique. Developed in the 1930s, MLD offers a wealth of benefits, including improved metabolism, efficient waste elimination, and a strengthened immune system.

Myofascial Release is a gentle massage therapy that involves applying sustained pressure to the fascia. Fascia tissue wraps our muscles, bones, nerves and organs, and runs in an uninterrupted web from the top of the head to the tips of the toes.

Tui Na massage, a traditional Chinese medicine practice with centuries of history, offers a variety of techniques to promote relaxation and well-being. It’s particularly beneficial for stress and anxiety, sleep improvement, and preventative wellness by encouraging the flow of Qi (vital energy). Tui Na often complements other Chinese medicine treatments like acupuncture.

An Overview Of Finchley Women's Reproductive Health &
Fertility Treatment at North London Acupuncture

As a Holistic Chinese Medicine practitioner, I address the whole person, with specialized expertise in women’s health. From puberty through menopause, women experience a range of conditions that acupuncture can effectively address. I frequently work with young women experiencing menstrual irregularities, delayed periods, or painful cycles, helping to balance their hormones. By taking a thorough health history and working with your body, I can help you achieve a healthy and balanced reproductive cycle.

Acupuncture is known to be an effective way to help bring relief from many of the discomforts associated pregnancy, including:

  • Aches and pains
  • Back ache, sciatica
  • Haemorrhoids or constipation
  • Nausea and/or vomiting

Many women accept monthly discomfort as a normal part of their cycle. However, in Chinese medicine, these premenstrual symptoms are often viewed as a sign of stagnant energy flow. Acupuncture offers a powerful way to address these issues by restoring the smooth flow of energy throughout your cycle, leading to significant improvements in premenstrual well-being.
